Kath has a vast driving experience, having started working in the motor
industry after graduating from Sheffield University with a BA(Hons) in
French and Business Studies.
She spent 10 years as a sales representative
covering all of Scotland, before qualifying
as an Approved Driving Instructor in 1994. Initially she worked with a
franchise, but very quickly decided to open her own company, Provan Drivers.
Kath traded
successfully for six years in Glasgow,where she was an active member of the
Glasgow and District Driving Instructors Association - serving in the last
three years as treasurer.She then moved to her current location,Prestwick,
where she has been working since 2001.
Provan Drivers is extremely lucky to have Allan Ferguson working alongside them as he is one of the most established instructors
in Ayrshire. He has been teaching people to drive for over 20 years and so you can be assured of quality instruction.
His dedication to the industry meant that he was one of the first instructors in the area to achieve the
Diploma in Driving Instruction.
His commitment to continually improving his teaching skills saw him also undertaking an MSA
class teaching course at Clydebank College. As if this was not enough he is also an IAM advanced
driver. Allan is actually a mechanic to trade, so there should be nothing you couldn't ask him about the workings of a car ! In fact with
a registered IQ of 140 at Mensa, there's maybe not much to which he won't be able to give you an answer !
